Join us for the 2017 Bavarian Festival Parade on Sunday June 11, 2017
The Bavarian Festival parade begins at 1:00pm on Churchgrove St (near St. Lorenz School) then turns east on Genesee (Junction Rd) to Main St (M83) then south to Jefferson. The parade entries will proceed east on Jeffereson toward Weiss Street. Entries will be able to recognize the normall landing area near Schaefer & Beirlien (located at the corner of Weiss and Jefferson) where it concludes.
The Bavarian parade typically draws over one hundred entries from all over the State of Michigan and adjoining states.
Parade spectators can then participate in festivities that include amusements, BBQ chicken dinners, a Polka Jam, and other celebrations of German heritage at Zehnder Park (corner of main St and Covered Bridge Lane) beginning immediately following the parade.
2017 Parade Entries and marshal locations will be posted by early June.
The Kinder Parade is for children to enjoy and celebrate German heritage. Saturday morning, June 10th, 2017 staging begins on Rosstal St (directly behind Zehnder's Restaurant) and the parade then ends at the Frankenmuth River Place Shops with popsicles for all participants!. The Kinder Parade starts at 10:00am
