Instagram Scavenger Hunt Details
GAME BASICS

Game day is Saturday, June 9th, 2018
-
Check in is no later than 1:30pm in front of the Harvest Coffee House in downtown Frankenmuth.

Teams must be comprised of members all under the age of 21.

There is no registration fee for this event.

Teams will receive copies of the list of targets and a map for reference during the game orientation at 1:30pm.
-
Each team will need at least one Instagram accounts available to post their teams photos.
-
The scavenger hunt runs from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Teams must be back at the Harvest Coffee House by 5:00pm sharp.

This is a car-free Instagram scavenger hunt. That means no motorized vehicle of any kind can be used to get around town for the hunt.
TEAM REGISTRATION

Registration will be held from Monday, April 9th until Saturday, June 9th at 12:oopm, Noon.

Registration will be held online and all waivers will need to be turned in the day of the event.

Players can come with pre-arranged teams or we can happily place you with a group.
-
A team must have 2 people, and no more than 4.
GAMEPLAY
-
The scavenger hunt officially starts at 2:00pm, at which point teams can begin taking photos and crossing off targets from the list.

Players may tackle as many clues as they like, and in any order they choose.

Some targets may have options for additional points, as indicated on the list.

Be safe and sensible when running around downtown Frankenmuth. Please do not do any of the following for the sake of scoring points:

Endanger yourself or others

Trespass on private property
-
Do anything illegal

If you have any questions during the scavenger hunt, please us the individuals at the check in station to answer your questions.

The game officially closes at 5:oopm – Photos received after this time will not be accepted.
PHOTO SUBMISSION

Teams must travel as a group and at least two people form your team must be visible in all photos submitted. Photos where your team is not visible will be ineligible for points.

For each target, please post one photo, per team on Instagram.

Once a target is identified, take a clear photo and post with the clue number in the captions, the hashtags: #BavarianFest #Instahunt #TeamName, and please follow the Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival (@bavarianfestival) and tag this page in all photos for them to be counted in scoring.
POST-GAME

Teams will arrive at the Harvest Coffee House by 5:oopm.

Photos must be posted on Instagram and appropriately hash tagged and tagged by 5:00pm.

After all teams arrive, scores will be tallied, winners announced, and prizes awarded.
DISCLAIMER/WAIVER

Your team must stay together at all times. You may not split up to “divide” tasks.

Play Fair. Do not let your competitive instincts drive you to ruin other people’s fun and chances of winning.

If anyone on your team cheats, your entire team will be disqualified.
-
You’re here to have fun, but to do so legally. If you break any laws at any time during any portion of the scavenger hunt, your team will be disqualified.

There will be no appeals to the scavenger hunt directors.
-
Your team, in its entirety, must return to the specified location no later than 5:00pm or will risk disqualification.

All decisions by the judges are final. No exceptions.

All players agree to have their photos used for promotional purposes by the Civic Evens Council and Bavarian Fesitval associates.

The CEC will not be held responsible or liable for anything that occurs during the 2018 Bavarian Festival Instagram Scavenger Hunt.
Come out Saturday of Bavarian Festival for the first ever Bavarian Festival Scavenger Hunt!
This fun event will have you searching for clues and take you all around downtown Frankenmuth by foot. Use teamwork (teams of 2-4) to get as many points as you can while posting and hash tagging photos on Instagram. First through third place winners will receive great prizes donated by Verizon Wireless Zone of Frankenmuth, Poblanos and Lazy Dog Pizza. Be sure to register ahead of time, limited availability, first come, first served basis.
