As one of the oldest festivals in Michigan, see how the Bavarian Festival began and how it has evolved over the years.

The Bavarian Festival is run by a group of volunteers that make up the Civic Events Council. Click here to see past Presidents.

German goes with Frankenmuth like Bronners goes with Christmas. Learn how Frankenmuth was founded and became the destination it is today.

Princess Program

We are currently looking for more information to help build our princess history. Are you a past princess with stories or memorabilia? We'd love for you to pause your search for prince charming and drop us a line.

Our Bavarian princesses are always on the move, from parades and festivals to princess teas and capital visits. For the latest and most up to date appearance schedule, look no further.

Have you secretly always dreamed of being a princess? Do you put on dirndls at home and spin around to polka music? If this sounds like your average Friday night, the princess program may be right up your alley.

Get Involved

The most fun you'll have volunteering. Hands down. If you want to be a part of something great and like German beer, volunteer today!

Michigan's largest celebration of Bavarian Heritage could not happen without the support of our sponsors. We thank you for your support.

This award is given to a member of the community who embodies what it means to volunteer. If you're looking for past recipients, you've come to the right place.

Plan Your Trip

Frankenmuth is conveniently located just a few miles off of I-75, making getting here a breeze.

From charming bed and breakfasts to Bavarian themed waterparks, you're sure to find the perfect spot to hang your lederhosen for the weekend.

Its 75 and sunny in Frankenmuth. Everyday. Even in January. Not really, but the probability definitely increases in June.
